I desperately wish I could upload all 250 photos taken on friday night, because it was such an eventful night, but obviously that will be taking the cake. As much as I'd love that, I'm sure It'll bore you anywas. As excrutiatingly painful as it was, I managed to pick out 20. I'll upload the rest unto my facebook page at the end of the month. Facebook is blocked here :/
MORE PHOTOS AFTER THE JUMP AND AN ESSAY. lol
This dress reminds me of something I will see in a Marchesa lookbook In the sense that it looks so delicate yet dearing and bold. The hight slits made feel feel a bit uncomfortable, but i guess that is what gave it the dearing edge.
Underneath it, rather than wearing a slip or something of that sort, I wore highwaisted panties and a very handy strapless bra.
I love everything about the dress from the different hues it has in different kinds of lights to the way its so unbalanced in most parts and the way it hangs so carelessly on me.
I've been using the term "dress" so much that I've actually completely disregarded the fact that it was once a size 16 blouse. Well, technically, it still is. Does anyone else find that clothes literally double their size tends to work for them.
P.s 1, That belt is a lifesaver. I was hesitant on pairing it with the blouse becasue I thought it'd clash, which it did, but it still managed to look wearable. Which is why I always advice people to try evrything on. Even if it doesn't go in your head, in real life, it might just shock you.
p.s.2 I think I'm developing a manic obsession with careless and shapeless dresses. I see my collection mounting in piles on my bedroom floor, and I can't seem to stop myself. Being possibly the biggest fan of Japanese designs, I think this obsession is partially explained. I was actually reading a book on Japanese designers and many of them design ill-fitting and careless clothes on purpose. If you look through my blog you will proably notice that I'm not really a figure hugging kind of dresser. I usually have something slouchy and ilfitting on. Being a girl is this a good or a bad thing? Food for thought.
p.s.3 The reason for the title of this post- I think My life just started!
